Every family needs to capture the little moments and milestone of their babies as they grow so fast right before our very eyes. I can’t believe this little man is almost a year old already. I still remember all the trials his mom and dad went through and the many trips to the hospital with hopes he was going to stay in place a little longer. Lets face it this guy is growing so fast and doesn’t stop for a second now that he’s crawling and almost walking. I feel like it was just yesterday I was taking his newborn portraits. Slow down Wesley slow down. This little man stole my heart from day one and I love having the pleasure of seeing him every few months for his milestone sessions. I can’t wait for his 1 year cakes smash session coming up soon. Hint you might want to check back in next month to see what cuteness his mom and I come up with. We have some really adorable ideas tossing around in our heads for this one. Until then share some love with this sweet little man and his mom that I have the pleasure of calling my friend. I love getting to work with friends in the industry and seeing their families grow.

This rib loving couple had such a unique wedding at Wrights Mill Farm. I think my favorite part was how they used wrench’s for the seating chart. I’ve never seen something so unique for a wedding before. I remember when I first met Jackie and Brian and they told me what they were looking forward to on the wedding day most was in Jackie’s own words “I can’t wait to eat ribs in my wedding dress” and yes she sure did. It was the cutest thing ever when she opened a special present from her relative that had custom rib bibs for both Jackie and Brian to wear. I could not stop giggling because I just love these two. The day did not go as planned and we had rain but you know what they took it like champs. Bri moved the ceremony under the pavilion and everything went on rain or shine. You would never know because the smiles these two had when they saw each other for the first time. It lit up the pavilion like the fourth of July. We got super lucky when the rain clouds cleared in time for portraits and so we took the horse drawn carriage to the pond and barn and had some fun. I even threw a behind the scenes photo of me doing my thing holding the flower girl and wearing my rain boots to get the job done. I kinda love it after a rain storm because the greens are always so vibrant and beautiful in photos. Jackie and Brian knew exactly what to do form our engagement session because I mean hello they are naturals in front of the camera. It also helps when you marry your best friend. It hits home that they met online dating because it just clarifies that yes online dating really works. You can meet your sole mate online just like these two.
Once the party got started it was game on all night long. We got a quick little rain shower and yes they decided lets go dancing in the rain. It was so cute they just twirled and danced the night away. Mark had the dance floor hopping for the rest of the night. Even the staff at Wrights Mill gets up and shows off some dance moves for the wobble. We ended the night of fun and laughter with a photo that Brian and Jackie asked for and it turned out epic just like they are.
I am so honored to be their photographer and love watching their love story grow day by day.

Sam and John’s wedding at The Overlook at Geer Tree Farm turned out to be a beautiful wedding despite having a rainy start to the day. The sun came out shinning brightly just in time for the ceremony to begin. When I arrived at the farm the girls where having fun and relaxing while waiting their turn for hair and make up. The guys arrived a little while later to my surprise no one knew how to tie a bow tie, so you tube it was. I can honestly say of all the wedding I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of I find it so cute that so many groomsmen don’t know how to tie a bow tie. It always makes for fun getting ready shots with the men. This was my first time having the pleasure of working at the beautiful Geer Tree Farm and I can’t wait to have the chance to go back again. Especially when one of my favorite caterers is on the job. I can honestly say I love working with Stacy from On the spot catering. She and her team always go above and beyond for every wedding. They were so accommodating for Sam and John that they literally waited until the last possible second to make the call to have the ceremony outside overlooking the beautiful tree farm instead of forcing everyone under the reception tent. Which I am so glad Sam let Stacy make the call because it turned out so beautiful. We know someone was looking over this couple on their wedding day. During our portraits we got the most gorgeous rainbow that came shinning in the camera and I was all giggly as always when I know I am creating magic in camera for my amazing couples. We ended the night with a lot of fun dancing and glow a glow stick dance party. John had the dj play a song in honor of his fellow servicemen which made for some great dancing to kick off the dance party. It was a pleasure being a part of this awesome couples big day and I can’t wait to see where their love story takes them.

When Alicia told me her idea about having me come out to her friends private farm for their engagement session I swear I felt a little giddy inside. It’s like being a school girl in love all over again when it comes to me and beautiful rustic farms. So my favorite part was that we got to have fun with their 3 gorgeous dogs and with a little bit of me jumping around looking like a fool behind the camera and the dogs being very patient we were able to get the shot Alicia rally wanted. When the day came it was raining all day but we decided to power through it and make the best of the day. I always carry my white umbrellas with me for wedding days and figured lets play in the rain why not. I have to say Alicia and Michael were good sports and went with it. I am so happy with the gorgeous images we ended up getting. A little rain does not stop people in LOVE…
I can’t wait to celebrate with them on their big day this coming St. Patricks’s day. I just know it’s going to be a blast.
One of my favorite places to visit is Devil’s Hopyard and I was so excited when Kelsey and Joe picked this beautiful place for their engagement photos. Even better when they got out of the car in these ummmmm perfect outfits. The pink was popping off all the greenery and just made my job so easy. Any man who puts on pink for his lady is a keeper in my eyes. you would never guess who these two love birds met by how dressed up they are. Its kinda adorable if you ask me. Joe showed up to this upscale bar in sandals. Yes sandals… Well 3 years later they are getting married so it definitely made an impression on Kelsey for sure. The proposal was so sweet when they were visiting her sister in Florida. The first night of being there they went to siesta key beach and he surprised Kelsey with letters written in the sand with candles and rose petals asked her to marry him. I just love hearing the sweet proposal stories.
Coming soon to the blog is their gorgeous Aria wedding!! Don’t forget to come back and see soon…
One of my most favorite parts about living in Canterbury is the small town feel we have here. Josey found me on google and I was honored to come be a part of their special intimate backyard wedding. We had the best time walking their property along the creek after they said their I do’s. I think it was one of the least pressure wedding days I’ve ever had. I am starting to love intimate weddings. I should do more of them because just seeing these two so in love and not a care in the world about having the big wedding was so beautiful and inspiring. If I get married again its officially in my head I don’t want a big wedding I want something small and simple. All you need is LOVE and each other. Coz was the most gently man and you could see how much he cared for Josey. He was shaking with excitement to put that ring on her figure that he had a hard time getting it on. I can’t wait to get the call when they start having little ones… (Hint Hint I’m ready when you are to start having little ones!! LOL) I love babies just as much as weddings. Congratulations to this wonderful couple and here’s to many many happy years of marriage.
Niki and Jason tied the knot at the very delicious David Burke Prime restaurant this winter and oh my gosh was it beautiful and simple but perfect. Their day began with getting ready up in the fox tower surrounded by loved ones. Lots of smiles and excitement for the evening ahead. Niki's room overlooked the reservation and you could see the mountains for miles. The perfectly clear blue sky and the light pouring into her room was simply beautiful. The simple elegant dress from the world famous Kleinfeld hung from hanger simply waiting for her special day. While her mom and future mother in law and even grannie helped her into her gown her sister put on the finishing touches. The moment Niki's brother walked into the room to see his beautiful sister in her gown was so touching. I probably could have cried myself because the smile on his face was priceless and then seeing Niki's face omg I kinda lost it inside a little. It brought me back to my wedding day when I saw my brother. Jason was so excited to see his beautiful bride to be that he cheated a little during their first look. Haha I loved how he turned his head way before the rest of his body just to catch a glimpse of his bride. After sharing an intimate moment together it was off to the restaurant to say their "I Do's". We walked through the casino with a few fun stops oolong the way. The ceremony was super emotional but still had lots of laughing. Onto the sisters speech well that just had a lot more tears and the night got even better with....
IT'S A GIRL!!!!!
Yup you read that right! Niki and Jason surprised their family at the wedding with a gender reveal cake and both moms screamed and jumped with excitement of the news tat they are having a grand daughter.
Thank you to David Burke Prime for letting us climb into the wine cellar and take some gorgeous night portraits for the couple because well they turned out amazing.
Katelyn and Anthony where do I even start with this adorable couple. Anthony's parents where so kind to host the intimate family wedding at their cottage home in Canterbury right before Christmas. We couldn't have asked for a better day after having freezing tempetkres the week prior filled with a bunch of snow their day ended up being absolutely gorgeous outside. This made for some beautiful outdoor wedding portraits. I just love when my couples will brave the weather and trust me when I have these crazy ideas of tracking through the snow on their wedding day. I mean the snow went so well with their winter wonderland theme. The intimate ceremony started with a special phone call between the bride and her grannie who couldn't be there and then down the stairs to her awaiting groom. Anthony's face lit up when he say his bride for the first time. The ceremony was no surprise filled with plenty of laughter and some tears. You can feel the love in the room just by looking around. I think my favorite part was the dog... Yes the dog even had her own flower girl dress for the wedding. She truly stole the show haha. It was a pleasure to be a part of such a special day and I was honored to meet this incredibly loving family who happen to live right down the street from me.
Kacey and Anthony's beautiful fall wedding at Allen Hill Farm was so perfect and truly represented the Love for everything Fall that Kacey talks about. They hired On The Spot Catering for the big day and I have to say that Stacy worked her magic with her crew setting up all the little details. Bonus their food was delicious as always. I couldn't wait to shoot this wedding especially after the fun engagement session we had. I just knew Kacey and Anthony would not disappoint from beginning to end.
The day started with them getting ready at the hotel and then finishing up at the farm. My favorite part was when Kacey and Anthony shared a sweet quiet first look among the orchard trees. Those are Kacey's favorite spot on the farm so it was only fitting to use those for most of the days portraits. They both seemed to be more relaxed and ready to day their I do's. You can truly see how much love they have for one another. I probably could have taking photos of them all day if they didn't have to get to their ceremony. So I won't lie I shed some happy tears during their ceremony along with family and friends. They both wrote their own vows that really touched the heart. I don't think there was a dry eye in the crowd.
Following the ceremony we had a blast with the family and then it was onto bridal party photos. Those are always a fun part of the day and this bridal kept a smile on my face all day. They really got into it with the sunglasses and super hero socks with matching cufflinks for the guys. The ladies were striking in their green dresses which were perfect for a fall wedding. I love how Kacey had her shoes died to match the girls dresses.
The party was ready to start and everyone danced the night away but first it was time for the newlyweds to share their first dance. A choreographed first dance that is. We managed to sneak outside for a few night portraits in the Christmas trees and then it was back to dancing dancing and more dancing. Of course Kacey had the one and only Nora cupcakes for her wedding seeing as she works for them. I was kinda super excited about that when she told me what she would be serving because I don't get to Nora cupcakes very often with there shops being so far from me. So whenever I can get a Nora cupcake I am very very excited to say the least.
I am so honored to have been a part of this beautiful wedding. Thank you Kacey and Anthony for choosing me to share in the most important day of your lives.

Where to even begin with Nicole and Dylan's gorgeous rustic wedding at the Mohegan Sun Golf Club last month. I was so excited when I showed up at Nicole's villa and meet all her amazing bridesmaids. Such a fun group of ladies. Nicole's Made of Honor did her makeup and I must say did a fabulous job at it too. I was in heaven and knew from the minute I walked in that the details for the rest of the day would not disappoint. Nicole left nothing out. She even got this beautiful custom hanger made for her wedding dress. It was truly like nothing I've ever seen before. Dylan is in the navy and I thought it was such a sweet touch that she added special charms to her garter. Of course Dylan had his own fun socks for the big day. I know Nicole was really planning for an outdoor ceremony but didn't let mother nature get her down. She was glowing with beauty in her Maggie Soterro gown and excitement to become Mrs. Berry. Kristin did a fabulous job officiating the ceremony. I really like when my couples have a family member officiate their wedding. It truly adds something unique to their wedding.
Nicole and her family made all the centerpieces and so many special details for the reception. They really put so much thought into everything. Nicole loves horse back riding and I thought it was so unique they even had a huge wagon wheel holding the place cards with mini close pins. That was by far my favorite detail. Oh and their cake was to dye for. I have to say its probably one of my most favorite cakes I've seen to date any any wedding. Chocolate Rose Bake Shop really out did herself with this one.
Nicole and Dylan's Bridal party was so much fun. The guys even played a little golf and showed off some tricks for Elana my second shooter while I was taking photos of the ladies. I probably could have photographed them and their beautiful bouquets all day long if we didn't have a reception to get to. McKennas Flower Shop did a beautiful job with the florals.
Once we had our fun out on the golf course it was time to enjoy the party with Ali from Karisma Events. She had the party going all night long. I hope to work with her again in the future. I mean she even had the our favorite guy we liked to call no pants man up dancing all night long. This sweet man was so funny because when he arrive at the wedding to change into his suit he realized well he forgot his dress pants. So he wore the top half of his suit and the bottom half was his shorts. It was hysterical but made for a funny memory. I would say Nicole and Dylan's wedding was a success and everyone had an absolute blast dancing the night away...
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day and making memories for a lifetime.

I knew from the moment I first met Jackie and Brian at our consultation that this couple was going to be a blast to work with and I was right. I lost count of how many times we laughed during their engagement session. The light was amazing at Baldwin Brook Farm that night and I probably could have photographed them all night long had the sun not gone down. you can clearly see how much love these two share especially when Brian looks at his beautiful bride to be. He gets this special sparkle in his eye and I think his smile literally goes from ear to ear. Jackie is so bubbly and I just LOVE her. We just seem to get each other and I mean come on anytime one of my brides tells me they just want to eat ribs in their wedding dress on the most important day of their life just makes me happy. I'm a southerner and love ribs. I always drive by these gorgeous spots in my town and when Jackie said she loved the idea of following me around to shoot in my secret spots I got very very excited. It truly makes me happy knowing my couples trust my judgement and are willing to follow me anywhere to make gorgeous photos for them. I am so happy to have the most gorgeous Farm just around the corner from my house with a beautiful brook and covered bridge. Even better the owners are super nice and let me use their gorgeous farm. I can't wait to try out their syrup and eggs.
Thank you again Jackie and Brian for choosing me to be your photographer and I look forward to your wedding next year at Wrights Mill Farm!
High School Sweethearts Erin and Mike tide the knot a month ago at the Beautiful Wrights Mill Farm in Canterbury, CT and boy was it a blast. When I first met with Erin and Jeff I just knew right from that very first conversation I had to photograph their wedding. They put some much love into the little details. I mean who makes their own moonshine for their wedding? They did!!! The custom shot glasses for each guest was just the best touch for the toasts. Putting personality into your wedding day is what I love most about JPP brides. I want brides who are willing to have a cake fight during their cake smash but still trust me to take them out to an open field and make magic out of it. We danced and laughed and had a great time that night. I must say I don't know how they pulled it off, but they did and everyone seemed to have an awesome time between dancing playing horseshoe and even roasting marshmallows by the bon fire from the smores bar. The night seemed to fly by filled with laughter and a lot of tears. Happy Tears.... One of my most favorite parts of the day; well I mean who gets to say their dad drove them to the alter in a fully restored gorgeous blue corvette? This bride does!!!
It was such a pleasure to be a part of Erin and Jeff's wedding and create memories for the family to cherish for years to come.

I don't even know where to start with this gorgeous wedding for Megan and Mike at The Webb Barn. Megan and her family made so many of the details by hand and I was truly blown away at how gorgeous everything turned out. I just knew from our first meeting listening to the way Megan talked about her venue choice and everything she was planning that I was honored to be a part of their special day. I mean Megan had everything down to the littlest detail of her something blue sewn into her dress and she had a sweet message sewn into her dads tie. I melted when she flipped his tie over during their first look to show me. Mike and his guys all had fun American flag socks on under their suits. I just love when my groom and his guys all pick out fun socks. It really lets their personalities really come out. Now to talk about how amazing Megan's dress was... Holly gorgeous with the lace overlay. HEAVEN!!!!
I had the pleasure of working with the fabulous Victoria from Everlasting Affairs for the day of coordinator and I must say I wish ALL my brides would book with her. Victoria and her team were such a pleasure to work and made the day run smooth.
So back to the gorgeous wedding day! We could not have asked for more beautiful weather. The sun was shinning and lots of smiles in the crowd when Megan began to walk down the long path to reach her groom waiting to say I DO. Mike was tearing up and you could just see it all over his face how much he loves Megan. It was magical. Her dad was beat red with nervousness but in the end was all smiles when he handed his daughter over to her new husband to be. The ceremony was filled with lots of laughing and a little bit of crying mixed in. My favorite reaction after they said their I DO's and shred their first kiss was when Mike screamed WOOOOO as he brought his new wife back down the isle. It was so great. The bridal party was not to disappoint either. They all had the most fun props to use during their grand entrances after the portraits. I mean we are talking basketball hoop with a confetti rocket launcher to a mini go-gart. Yup you read that correct... Everyone enjoyed themselves with a crowded dance floor all night long. Best night ever Megan and Mike you did an amazing job planning your wedding and I was so honored to be a able to spend the day with you creating memories for you and your families to cherish for years to come.

Where to begin with this beautiful wedding. I mean I LOVE shooting at Allen Hill Tree Farm so much that when Rachel with Rowanberry + Lavender called me to shoot this wedding with her I could not refuse. We couldn't have asked for a more gorgeous day and the weather was perfect for this fall wedding at the farm. The day started off at The Hilton Garden Inn and all it took was one step through the front door and I knew right away the perfect spot to hang the dress. I literally fell in love with the chandeliers in the lobby and with the beautiful wood and glass backdrop who could go wrong. I love when I get to go back and fourth between the bride and groom especially when the rooms are on the same floor. Matt was already dressed when we arrived but I couldn't help but grabbed a few quick details of him and on to the bride I went to back up Rachel. Karen had a handkerchief from her grandmother and kept the box it came in for her wedding day to store it. How much love this family has just made me feel like I was part of the family that day even though I had literally only met them 5 minutes ago. I immediately knew right then and there why Rachel talked so highly of this couple and how much she loved this family. Matt made Karen the sweetest necklace that had the coordinates engraved of where they are getting married on both sides. How creative he is I swear. I mean he even made the log Arbor that they got married under at the Farm.
Then came time for Karen to get into her dress and well the tears quickly flowed. I found myself getting teary eyed behind the camera as I was shooting the moment. Rachel and I looked at each other and our hearts melted with excitement for Karen. Once Karen was dressed I quickly drove off to Allen Hill Farm to start the groomsmen photos and of course they are always a blast. The guys had a few fun ideas and even decided they would all climb to the top of the rock and take big group photo.
I think I witnessed one of the most emotional ceremonies of all my weddings ever shot that day. The crying the smiling and most of all the laughing. After exchanging their rings they did a rope ceremony where they tie hands together and the officiant tells a nice story. The best part of the whole ceremony was the officiant was a very close friend of the family which always makes it more personal to the couple.
Well finally it was party time for the guests and Rachel and I were off into the sunset with the happy newlyweds and of course we both were jumping for joy with the gorgeous sunset light we were so blessed to have that day. I think we probably took about 500 or more photos between the two of us. LOL If your looking for a gorgeous sunset for your wedding day then I highly recommend having your wedding at Allen Hill Tree Farm. Theres so many little hidden gems on that property for your wedding day photos. Also they always have the BEST caterers. On the Spot Catering is one of my very favorite caterers in the area so I was really excited to see them there. They are always so tentative to the bride and groom and amazing to fellow vendors. They feed us well too and in my eyes thats always a BONUS when your on your feet working all day to have a great working relationship with other vendors.
After formals where over it was time to get to the fun part of the day! The first dance was amazing and of course the father daughter dance was emotional. Aren't they always the most emotional part of the day? Karen's Made of Honor was brought to tears and you could see the joy in her mothers face. We had fun partying along with the guests and snapped a ton of amazing photos even out by the bon fire and during cat cutting. But until next time I say Live, Love, Laugh and be Merry!
congrats to the happy couple and Thanks again to Rachel for having me to shoot this beautiful wedding with her. I can't wait for our next adventure together!
