The Comstock Covered Bridge in Colchester was the perfect setting for Ashley and AJ’s engagement session. When Ashley said she wanted something very rustic and woodsy I was all for it. I think my favorite part was that they brought Aj’s pride and joy old truck. I can’t wait to photograph this sweet couples wedding next fall because we had so much fun in the short time just walking around the bridge. I lost count how many times we had to stop because we were laughing so hard we snorted. Yup you read that correct. I was so excited that they chose me to be their photographer after shooting Ashley Matron of Honors wedding last year. Its the biggest form of flattery when your new brides come from your old brides. It means so much to me. Thank you Ashley and Aj for having a fun evening with me!

This fun energetic couple were meant to be from their very first date. I mean its almost like a ferry tail story of how they went on a vacation out of the country for their second date. Thats all it took and now they are happily married. When I showed up to the inn where Abi was getting ready I was in heaven with he beautiful outdoor patio stones and gorgeous purple flowers on the property. Of course she wanted her first look in the orchard trees on the farm at Allen hill which is one of my very favorite spots there. Especially that time of year when everything is in bloom and you get the beautiful greenery. Abi and Marc loved it so much they decided to have their ceremony facing the orchard. The first look was epic as I assumed it would be. These two are naturals in front of the camera and so in love. The fun bridal party kept me laughing the whole time and were up for anything I suggested. Abi and Marc incorporated just about all of their family during the tree planting ceremony which I thought was so unique. I can’t wait to see an update on how big their tree will be in a year from their wedding. As always On The Spot Catering killed it with the setup and food. I kinda wanted to just sit and eat everything in sight. Once we got our stomach full the dance party started and didn’t stop all night long. Thank you Abi & Marc for choosing me to share in your wedding memories!

Lisa and Sachin are two the my favorite people I’m had the pleasure of meeting through the years. I had this deep connection with Lisa at our very first meeting as she stole my heart the minute she cried looking at my wood memory box. I knew right then and there she’s my kinda bride. Emotional and in LOVE with photos and the preservation of memories. I have this slight obsession with telling stories behind my photos even in my everyday life with my kids. Details Details and more Details… A favorite part of every wedding day for me is the small little details like the smallest stones on the brides shoe to the grooms custom cufflinks. The smiles they share and the tears they shed when the father hands off his beautiful daughter to her forever husband. I find it very therapeutic to be in these moments knowing I captured it for them to cherish for a life time. Lisa and Sachin had a rainy wedding day but that did not stop this couple one bit. As always I have umbrellas for my bridal parties incase and even with a sideways rain these fun loving friends did not complain once as we ran outside following the indoor ceremony to grab some fun photos under the umbrellas. We got so lucky and the rain clouds cleared long enough for Lisa and Sachin to get some romantic couples photos outside around the grounds of Bill Miller’s Castle before being whisked into their reception for the first dance. My secret favorite part was getting to try the different foods from Sachin culture and boy was it delicious. We ended the night with fun and dancing and even cigar rolling which turned into a cigar smoke portrait session in the dark. Thank you Lisa and Sachin for having me be your photographer. I LOVED every minute of your special day!

Kacey and Anthony's beautiful fall wedding at Allen Hill Farm was so perfect and truly represented the Love for everything Fall that Kacey talks about. They hired On The Spot Catering for the big day and I have to say that Stacy worked her magic with her crew setting up all the little details. Bonus their food was delicious as always. I couldn't wait to shoot this wedding especially after the fun engagement session we had. I just knew Kacey and Anthony would not disappoint from beginning to end.
The day started with them getting ready at the hotel and then finishing up at the farm. My favorite part was when Kacey and Anthony shared a sweet quiet first look among the orchard trees. Those are Kacey's favorite spot on the farm so it was only fitting to use those for most of the days portraits. They both seemed to be more relaxed and ready to day their I do's. You can truly see how much love they have for one another. I probably could have taking photos of them all day if they didn't have to get to their ceremony. So I won't lie I shed some happy tears during their ceremony along with family and friends. They both wrote their own vows that really touched the heart. I don't think there was a dry eye in the crowd.
Following the ceremony we had a blast with the family and then it was onto bridal party photos. Those are always a fun part of the day and this bridal kept a smile on my face all day. They really got into it with the sunglasses and super hero socks with matching cufflinks for the guys. The ladies were striking in their green dresses which were perfect for a fall wedding. I love how Kacey had her shoes died to match the girls dresses.
The party was ready to start and everyone danced the night away but first it was time for the newlyweds to share their first dance. A choreographed first dance that is. We managed to sneak outside for a few night portraits in the Christmas trees and then it was back to dancing dancing and more dancing. Of course Kacey had the one and only Nora cupcakes for her wedding seeing as she works for them. I was kinda super excited about that when she told me what she would be serving because I don't get to Nora cupcakes very often with there shops being so far from me. So whenever I can get a Nora cupcake I am very very excited to say the least.
I am so honored to have been a part of this beautiful wedding. Thank you Kacey and Anthony for choosing me to share in the most important day of your lives.
