Elegant Latitude 41 Wedding | Lauren + Casey

Getting ready in your childhood bedroom with your mom is every little girls dream when we grow up. Well Lauren had this dream come true on her wedding day. Meanwhile with the guys Casey’s dad showed everyone how to be a true gentleman and put his wife shoes on for her when she could not reach her straps. Lauren and Casey chose to hold their ceremony in a local church in Mystic CT followed by a romantic reception at Latitude 41. That moment when Lauren got ready to walk down the isle to her groom in waiting the anticipation with the biggest smile on her face. Did we have a blunder of yes we did… As her handsome groom looked at her from the front of the isle as her custom veil made by a sweet family member got stuck in the church doors Casey could not help but have the biggest smile on his face wondering what was going on and why she was not walking to him. Lauren is such a go with the flow bride she threw the veil to the side and continued on to her groom in waiting with a smile. After saying their sweet I Do’s we proceeded to the Mystic Seaport for bridal party portraits. Oh the many places to use at the Seaport. I could play there all day but we had to get them to their party. Details are one of my most favorite parts of every wedding day. As all my couples know from seeing my portfolio I spend a lot of time on details. So when you give a tons I giggle with excitement. These two shared an epic first dane filled with a dip and laughter and then onto the fun! Their band did NOT disappoint and had the party going all night long.

Guilford Yacht Club Wedding | Meggie + Brian

What a beautiful day we had for Meggie and Brian’s Guildford Yacht Club wedding last August. They really had the perfect day which usually you think in mid August it would be super hot. We got so lucky and had a gorgeous breeze day. I was so excited when they told me about this quiet little park over looking the water way across from the venue. We decided the first look and portraits had to take place there. The guys showed up in the biggest truck form the marina. We all had a good laugh when they pulled up and all the guys jumped out of the back of the pickup in suits. I must say Meggie was one of the calmest brides to date. I think me favorite part of the day was jumping on the boat and taking a quick spin with them out on the water. I mean its not everyday your couple arrives to their wedding ceremony by boat. We had a lot of laughs and even a few tears throughout the day. The reception was no small feet filled with exciting dances including an irish dance by the grooms relatives. We ate delicious food and yummy cake (Everyone knows I shoot weddings for the cake). They ended the night under the sparkler lined sidewalk with their friends and family. A little birdie told me this sweet couple is expecting a new little one this summer and I could not be more excited for them to move into this next chapter together. Congratulations to you Meggie and Brian on the new bundle of joy.

Nautical Wedding At Owenego Inn & Beach Club | Paige + Alan

When I got the call from Christine a dear friend and fellow photographer with Chensley Photography that she needed me in a big way. I knew I just had to step up and help her out. I couldn't have been more honored to shoot Paige and Alan's big day at the Owenego Inn and Beach Club in Branford, CT. I mean who doesn't love having the best job ever? I got to show up and shoot this incredible couple and all the little details of the day. We laughed cried and danced the night away! Christine did a beautiful job with editing this stunning wedding and allowing me to blog the images makes my photographer heart happy!! I truly LOVED every moment of Paige and Alan's wedding day.

I have to admit between Paige's aunts unique ceremony and the amazing dancing I can't decide which of the two I loved the most. This wedding was pretty epic... But my absolute most favorite part was when I took them out to the rock jetty in the water for some romantic portraits of just the two of them. OMG is ALL I need to say! Keep scrolling you will SEE them all!!

Congratulations again to the newlyweds and thank you for trusting me to shoot your wedding in Christine's place while she took maternity leave with her new bundle of joy.

Riverton Yacht Club Wedding | The Rau's

Devon and Daniel's wedding at The Riverton Yacht Club this past fall was absolutely breath taking. They are such a fun couple and that go's to say why my second shooter Bonnie and I had so much fun hanging out with the bridal party all day. When Devon first called me and told me she picked The Riverton Yacht Club for her outdoor wedding I could not contain my excitement to photograph a wedding at this venue. It was only fitting that this adventurous outdoor loving couple would choose a venue that represents one of the many things they do together. Devon and Daniel belong to The Riverton Yacht Club and go sailing all the time. I remember when we did their engagement photos and took a hike through the woods in Pennsylvania for about 2 miles and all we did was laugh, I've had so much fun getting to know this wonderful couple over the last year and I'm truly honored I got to celebrate their special day with them. The day began with thunderstorms coming and going but turned out to be a beautiful overcast day. Of course as a photographer I couldn't have asked for better lighting than that. The ladies started out partying at the brides Aunts house while the guys were hanging out at the future Rau house. When I took my first look at Devon's dress I immediately fell in LOVE with it. The silk fitting body covered with the beautiful delicate lace adorned with her silk sash. I mean does it get any more rustic romantic than that? Judy Cope and friends helped her make all the bouquets and boutonnieres for the special day. The groom and his groomsmen all wore what I call boat shoes and I thought it was such a great touch to match the nautical theme of the day. The navy and mint colors matched everything so perfectly and the best part was the bridesmaids all had a different dress but yet still coordinated with one another. Get this... They all had pockets in their dress. I thought that was amazing as I am a pocket in my dress kinda girl. When we got to the Riverton Yacht Club for Devon and Daniel's first look I knew just the perfect spot for Daniel to see his beautiful bride for the very first time. We had a blooper moment when the bride was walking to see her groom a daddy long legs decided he wanted to join the party and climbed on Devons dress. Daniel turned around to not only see his blushing bride but he also got the surprise of his life when he noticed this big spider walking around on Devon. He made the funniest face and swatted the spider off her and then the real moment happened. His face lit up and the smile said it all. These two knew they were ready to become one and couldn't wait for the ceremony to begin. During the ceremony you could just feel the love in the air on both sides of the isle. The bridesmaids were crying and I couldn't help myself but I got a little choked up as well. Then came one of the best receptions I've had the pleasure of being a part of. They had a live band playing and the guests enjoyed themselves so much that I don't think we ever had an empty spot on the floor all night. Everyone had a blast dancing the night away. Thank you again Devon and Daniel for letting me share in your beautiful day with you. I enjoyed every moment of it!
